By accessing or using ResumeStats (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Service

ResumeStats provides AI-powered resume analysis, building, and optimization tools, including:

  • ATS Score Checking: Upload your resume and receive an instant Applicant Tracking System compatibility score with detailed breakdown.
  • AI Rewrite: AI-powered rewriting of individual resume bullet points and sections.
  • JD Tailoring: Paste a job description and get your resume automatically optimized to match.
  • AI Feedback: Comprehensive AI-generated feedback on your resume.
  • Professional Templates: 19+ professionally designed resume templates.
  • Export: Download your optimized resume in PDF or DOCX format.
  • Free Scan: A no-account-required free ATS scan with score and issue breakdown.

3. User Accounts

  • You may create an account using Google or LinkedIn sign-in. No password is stored by ResumeStats.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your authentication accounts.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • One account per person. Sharing account access is not permitted.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Free and Paid Services

Free Tier:

  • Resume upload and ATS score checking with issue breakdown.
  • No account required for free scans.
  • Free scan data is automatically deleted within 24 hours.

Premium Features (OnePass):

OnePass unlocks the full suite of tools for a specific resume:

  • AI Rewrite (unlimited rewrites for that resume)
  • JD Tailoring
  • AI Feedback Panel
  • PDF and DOCX export
  • Access to all 19+ professional templates

Pricing:

  • OnePass is available as a one-time payment per resume.
  • Prices are displayed in your local currency where available.
  • OnePass access is permanent for the purchased resume — it does not expire.

5. Payment Terms

  • All payments are processed securely through Razorpay.
  • Prices include applicable taxes as displayed at checkout.
  • Payment is required before accessing premium features for a given resume.
  • We may offer promotional pricing or discounts at our discretion.

6. Refund Policy

Due to the digital and instantly-delivered nature of our service:

  • Within 7 days of purchase: If you experience technical issues that prevent you from using paid features, contact us at [email protected]. We will either resolve the issue or process a full refund.
  • After 7 days: Refunds are not available for successfully delivered services.
  • Not eligible for refund: Dissatisfaction with AI-generated content quality, or failure to use purchased features.

7. Intellectual Property

Your Content:

  • You retain full ownership of all resume content you upload or create using our Service.
  • By using our Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
  • We do not claim any ownership over your resume content.

Our Content:

  • All ResumeStats branding, logos, template designs, UI/UX designs, scoring algorithms, and documentation are our intellectual property.
  • Template designs may be used freely in your exported resumes but may not be extracted or redistributed as standalone templates.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to create fraudulent resume content.
  • Upload malicious files, viruses, or harmful content.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract our proprietary algorithms.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service beyond normal use.
  • Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service without permission.
  • Overwhelm the Service with excessive requests.

9. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

  • ResumeStats uses AI (powered by OpenAI) to generate resume rewrites, feedback, and suggestions.
  • AI-generated content is provided as suggestions and starting points. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content before using it.
  • We do not guarantee that AI-generated content will be factually accurate or appropriate for every context.
  • AI rewrite output should be treated as a draft that requires your professional judgment.

10. Service Availability

  • We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
  • We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes that temporarily affect availability.
  • We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by downtime.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. Specifically, we do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.
  • ATS scores reflect the exact scoring of any specific employer's ATS system.
  • Resume analysis or AI-generated content will guarantee job placement.
  • AI-generated content will be perfectly accurate, original, or suitable for every application.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ResumeStats shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of employment opportunities.
  • Reliance on AI-generated content.
  • Data loss.
  • Business interruption or lost revenue.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific feature giving rise to the claim.

13. Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page.
  • We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

  • These Terms shall be governed by applicable Indian law.
  • Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation.
  • If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
